Did I make a bad purchase?
As many others I burn my backups on a CD or DVD. To do this I use Nero.
A few weeks ago they released version 7 of their burning software. I didn´t have the money to purchase the upgrade at the time, but today I did.
After a few weeks of reading about it in different media and waiting for the content in my wallet to grow, today was the day.
The purchase was done, the download was done. Installation went fine, although it took nearly an hour and 2 reboots.
After all this waiting I was like a kid on christmas just before he/she opens the gifts.
I haven´t played around with it alot today due to lack of time, but so far I am disappointed.
As far as I can see there is only one new function included.
Ok, I shouldn´t complain, I would have purchased this version anyway since I try to keep all my stuff in the computer updated to keep bugs and other things to a minimum. But I did expect a little more than one new function.
I´m just glad I only had to pay the special upgrade price for it and not the full price. ![]()
Tomorrow I will check out every little inch of this software.

Hmm, did you make a bad purchase? Do you feel like you did? I consider CD/DVD burning software utility software and if the current version I am using is getting the job done I don’t upgrade. Unless they added something that I wanted I wouldn’t do it. I am still using Nero 5 at work since that’s all I need. I have Nero 6 at home but I also use CDBurnerXP Pro, an excellent freeware solution.
Not sure I did a bad purchase. It just felt like that, especially after all waiting.
It´s just that I feel that a (lets say) 7.O version should have more features than 6.0. If there was just minor corrections or as in this case (as far as I have found) only one new feature, why not call it 6.7 or similar?
