Word for Jan 21

Rob was correct about todays word. (Not getting any cookies though :P)

Todays word: är which means is.

For those who dont see the first letter in this word, its simply the second letter in the image here.

The letter is pronounced as the “a” in the american pronounciation of the word “after”.

Now you have a full sentence:
Hello, my name is… or, Hej, mitt namn är…

Tomorrow, we will learn a word including the letter Ö (last one on the mentioned image).

So, is “är” the same as the English word “is”? Based on what I have seen so far, it looks like sentance structure is the same in Swedish as it is in English.
