It’s not much of a start in life – you’re born in a zoo, your mother starts sitting on top of you and… you’ve got continual hiccups.
That’s exactly what has happened to one tiny colobus monkey. To add insult to injury, the little lady has been named Sokojoo, which means ‘hiccup’ in the Mandinka language of Gambia.

Something unusual happened today.
As you know, Guinea pigs have lots of different sounds like most animals. One of these sounds is singing. It´s sound that more or less sounds like when a bird sings.
The thing about this sound is that it is extremely rare. Some people, like me, will get lucky and hear it, while others may never be given that chance.
Personally, it was the third time in my life with guinea pigs that I heard it. For Jessica, it was the first time.
Ginnie sang for me 2 times. Jessica never got to hear it since she was away both times.
Today, one of our current piggies, Gissa & Piggie, sang. Unfortunately, we have no idea who it was since both were hiding under our couch.

I read this on Reuters
Two kittens picked the wrong place to relieve themselves when they urinated on a fax machine, sparking a fire that extensively damaged their Japanese owner’s house.
Investigators in the western city of Kobe have concluded that the fire in January was caused by a spark generated when the urine soaked the machine’s electrical printing mechanism.
You can read the rest of the story here but I think it´s time to really tell our pets where they are allowed to be and not. The cats were quick to run to a safe place and are ok.
